Case Study: The Premier League Archive

With the rebrand at the start of this season and a new contract term for broadcasters, the Premier League commissioned their production partners at IMG to create a “One Portal” platform for their global broadcasters to access match information, news content and the back catalogue of match footage and programming from the archive. Over a period of 4 months, IMG ported 500TB of broadcast quality match footage to a cloud hosted instance of the Imagen Enterprise Video Platform, managing replication to strategic locations in Sao Paolo, Singapore, Dublin and LA to rapidly serve footage in high-demand production, through elegant search interfaces with built in features of clipping, partial file restore, accelerated downloads and volume allowances. Discover challenges in achieving a project of this scale in a narrow time frame and how these were overcome.
