Michael ‘Jr’ Martin

CAT Entertainment Services, AVP of Broadcast and Major Projects and Regional Manager for New England

With 22 years of industry experience as a service provider for temporary-power and temperature-control solutions for the event and entertainment industry, Michael ‘Jr’ Martin is currently responsible for major television and broadcast accounts. He has worked closely with the company’s international business development task force, which secured the Confederation Cup broadcast project in Brazil in 2013; provided power for major portions of the Sochi Olympics’ Coastal and Mountain Clusters, as well as power and HVAC to the World Cup Recife venue in 2014; was awarded the 2015 Alpine Ski Championship power-vendor contract in Vail, CO; and is currently planning several projects for 2017.

Martin began his career in the State of Rhode Island Apprenticeship Program for Electricians. Subsequently, he worked for an electrical contractor in Rhode Island and for Aggreko Event Services as a field technician, a project manager, and a television/broadcast manager responsible for major clients, including NBC and ABC Sports. Among the high-profile entertainment events he handled were Lollapalooza Music Festival, Ben & Jerry’s Folk Festival, JVC Jazz Festival, and the inaugural ESPN X Games.

Martin joined CAT Entertainment Services, a division of Ring Power, in 2003. Highlights from his CES career include the NBA Finals and All-Star Game, ESPN college football, Super Bowls, DEW Tour Summer and Winter, and the NBA All-Star and Championship Series.
